The closing date for bursary applications is 31 OCTOBER

Important note for learners in Grade 12
You should apply to the University or University of Technology of your choice as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You should ensure that all examination results from Grade 11 until June/September of Grade 12 are submitted. Late applications cost more and often lead to frustration when you find your chosen course of study is full.

For more information on how to apply to your chosen Higher Education Institutions
Go to the following links:

  • ASSET bursaries are not repayable.
  • Bursars are able to access loans to cover the balance and any other costs through a partnership with NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme.) Loans through NSFAS are repayable to NSFAS but up to 40% may be converted to a bursary depending on successful results.

Learner Comments

I won’t forget the good and very passionate teachers who were always willing to help us at any time.  It will be my pleasure to make sure that other children know about the (LPD) programme. It really helps a lot and those who attend are the ones who end up getting the best results.
